「校園暖流賑雪災籌款行動」
寒冬送溫暖 春節獻祝福
內地華中、華東和華南十多個省份，近日遭遇歷來最嚴重的雪災侵襲，全國交通運輸大亂，電煤短缺，鐵路系統幾近癱瘓，多條主要高速公路被冰雪封堵，多個車站、機場擠滿回鄉的民工，廣州火車站一度積聚五十萬人，飢寒交迫。
多個省份至今仍雪雨不斷，湖南、廣西等地為重災區，民政部公布雪災造成最少24人死亡，7千萬人受災，造成的直接經濟損失達150多億元。交通堵塞，電網中斷，為群眾的生活帶來很多困難，更令成千上萬本要返鄉與家人團聚的民工不能回家。不過，我們相信更大的傷痛，是在至今仍被冰雪隔絕音訊的農村。農民生活本已艱苦，加上暴雪成災，農田失收、房屋倒塌、學校破敗、受災農民徬徨無依，情況令人憂慮。
教協會十分關心在雪災中受傷害的同胞，因此，本會將在春節假期後，向全港學校發起籌款行動。我們懇切呼籲會員同工、家長及同學，各盡綿力，捐出一點春節的利是錢，以守望相助的精神，向內地雪災同胞送上春節的祝福，在寒冬中送暖。
我們將於2月18日向全港中、小學及大專發出傳真及刊登教協報作呼籲。所有籌得的款項將會悉數撥與香港紅十字會作為賑濟雪災災民之用。捐款者可直接將善款存入教協會在恒生銀行開設的獨立專戶，帳號：385-725585-001；或將支票連同捐款表格（Word版 ／pdf版）郵寄教協會，支票抬頭為「香港教育專業人員協會」，並於信封面註明「校園暖流賑雪災籌款行動」收。有關捐款詳情，請在此下載捐款表格。

Emergency Appeal for Donation to China Snowstorm Victims
Dear colleague,
I am writing to appeal to you for donation in support of the various emergency relief projects for the snowstorm victims in China.
Snowstorm has assaulted millions of people and nearly 20 provinces, mainly in central, eastern and southern China, and the weather has caused a huge number of laborers and travelers to be stranded on roads, railways, or at piers. The disaster has very severely affected the national traffic system, which has also made many stations and airports crammed with laborers, chilled, hungry and frustrated.
The worst scenarios are in the remote villages and rural areas. In many provinces the weather is still unsteady and the snowstorms have no sign of stopping, and the most affected provinces include Hunan, Guangxi and so on. According to official data, snowstorms have already caused 24 deaths, around 70 million victims, and 15 billion of RMB economic loss. This disaster will also aggravate the living environment of those peasants who have already been leading miserable lives in backward villages.
We at PTU are very much concerned about about the current situations of our compatriots, who are still afflicted with snowstorms. Therefore, after the lunar new year holidays, we are calling for donation and assistance from all our schools. We are now appealing to all our members, parents and students to support the affected people for emergency relief, rehabilitation and disaster preparedness measures.
Donations can be made through direct transfers to our independent bank account:385-725585-001 (Hang Seng Bank), or by sending crossed cheques to PTU (made payable to ”Hong Kong Professional Teachers' Union", and also stating "Emergency Appeal for China Snowstorm" on the envelope ) together with our donation form, which can be downloaded .（Word ／Pdf）
All your donations will be transferred to Hong Kong Red Cross in support of various emergency relief projects for the snowstorm-affected in China. In times like these, we need your support and kindness.
