本人曾任教協三屆監事，致力為會員謀求福利。社會參與方面主要為文字工作，曾出版詩集《陳中禧短詩選》、《刮風的日子》等。現為培道中學校友會通訊主編之一，並為海外華文女作家協會，加拿大華裔作家協會及香港作曲家作詞家協會會員。本人將努力團結教師及職員；爭取學術自由；維護全人教育和各學齡人士之受教權；反對政府削減大學及教育資源等。

I have served
three terms as member of the Senate and my aim is to promote the
welfare of members of our union. As for social involvement, I do
so by engaging in writing endearvours. My publications include Selected
Poems of Chan Zhongxi, Windy Days, etc. I am a member of literary
organizations including Overseas Chinese Women Writers' Association,
Chinese Canadian Writers' Association and Composers and Authors
of Hong Kong Limited(CASH). Presently I am one of the chief editors
of the Alumni News of Pui To Secondary School.To strengthen the
solidarity of teachers and other educational workers, I shall focus
my attention on: maintenance of academic autonomy, promotion of
whole person education and promotion of educational opportunity
for citizens of all age groups. I am against budget cuts on universities
and educational institutions of all other levels.
