College in Stanley, 6 May 1989 * Memorial Concert for May 4 Movement

In order to enhance the new generation's awareness and concern for the development in modern Chinese history, HKPTU organized a marathon concert on 6 May 1989 for the youth in Hong Kong in commemoration of the May 4 Movement in 1919.

* Fund Raising for China

Most of the HKPTU members are patriotic Chinese. In recent years, HKPTU has raised funds of more than ten million HK dollars, for the promotion of education and for the victims of natural disasters in China.

Cultural Centre, 
4 June 1992 * Getting to know China

Since 1989, every year, in commemoration of the June 4 Incident, HKPTU organized activities and provided related teaching materials for schools. China Week was one of the activities organized. Its purpose was to let the new generations learn about Chinese history and culture, as well as the current situations in the development of democracy and human rights in mainland China.
