PTU Focus – PTU and Members Unite in Combating Coronavirus
There has been no sign of abatement since the outbreak of coronavirus in Wuhan at the end of last year. In Europe, there has even been a recent large-scale outbreak, which is extremely worrisome.
The pandemic has a tremendous impact on the education sector. The PTU has been paying close attention to and following up with teachers on related issues in the past months, including financial pressure faced by kindergartens under long-term suspension, schools’ procurement of prevention products, arrangement of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE), and the retention of Hong Kong students in Hubei. 逾九成七教師要求疫情穩定及口罩充足才可復課
教協要求復課前為學校提供足夠口罩
新聞稿 2020年3月23日
- 本港學校因應肺炎疫情停課，早前政府公布無限期停課，直至另行公布為止。教協就復課的準則進行問卷調查，多達97.2%的受訪者認為既需要本港疫情穩定，而且學校需要有充足口罩儲備，方可以開始復課。教協副會長兼教育界立法會議員葉建源要求政府，在將來決定復課前須確保疫情已經穩定及學校有充足口罩，並要求教育局為學校提供足夠口罩，特別要留意學校對兒童口罩需求極大。
