There has been no sign of abatement since the outbreak of coronavirus in Wuhan at the end of last year. In Europe, there has even been a recent large-scale outbreak, which is extremely worrisome.

The pandemic has a tremendous impact on the education sector. The PTU has been paying close attention to and following up with teachers on related issues in the past months, including financial pressure faced by kindergartens under long-term suspension, schools’ procurement of prevention products, arrangement of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE), and the retention of Hong Kong students in Hubei.
